All poster sessions will be held in the Exhibit Hall - the Symphony Ballroom - at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel. CIS will once again be running two separate poster sessions and each accepted poster has been assigned to one of the following sessions:
For posters presented on Friday may be hung up Thursday, March 31 or before lunch starts at 11:45am on Friday, April 1. For those presenting their poster on Saturday, they may be hung up after 3:00pm on Friday, April 1 or prior lunch begins at 12:30pam on Saturday.
All posters must be removed by 3:30pm on the day that they are presented.
Poster numbers will be assigned to posters the week of March 14th.
The usable space on the 4ft x 8ft poster boards is 46” high x 94” wide (Landscape orientation). Please keep your poster to a size that will fit these dimensions. While CIS does not have any specific requirements for what must be included on your poster or formatting requirements, we ask that poster presenters use a format that will make it easy for viewers to view from three to five feet away.
CIS is offering all accepted posters presenters the opportunity to present their poster virtually. If planning to present your poster in-person, we encourage you to also submit an eposter.
Eposters must be submitted via the online portal by Monday, March 14.
Will physical posters still be accepted?
Yes! If you are planning on attending in-person please bring a physical poster to hang in the poster hall!
Will in-person attendees have to submit an eposter?
While not required, we encourage all in-person attendees to also submit an eposter.
How will I virtually present my poster?
With the online platform that CIS has contracted, Poster presenters will be able to chat with others regarding their poster during the allotted poster session times. Please realize however, that with a hybrid event, those that are participating in person will not necessarily be browsing eposters during this time. The presenting author is responsible for monitoring their eposter to answer any questions throughout the conference.
Please follow the guidelines below when developing your presentation slides. You will have 3 slides to present your information and do not include any complex animations in your slides.
Slide #1 – Cover Slide
Slide #2 – Problem and Hypothesis
Slide #3 – Data and Conclusions
The presenting author must be registered for the conference, even if uploading an eposter, in order to keep the poster space as a poster presenter. If in-person attendance is not possible, virtual registration is required. Registrations must be made by March 27th. If there has been a change to the presenting author for a poster please let the CIS Staff know immediately so appropriate updates can be made. |
