This day-long summit explores the significant challenges that exist for patients, families, clinicians, and public health professionals who are impacted by severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID). Presented by SCID Compass, a two-year, HRSA-funded program, operating under the umbrella of the Immune Deficiency Foundation, the SCID Summit aims to address: communication lags between the newborn screening community, health care providers, and families; disparities in knowledge and care for patients with SCID, particularly in rural and underserved communities; and a general lack of awareness and knowledge about SCID and SCID newborn screening. The summit features a keynote address and break-out sessions with SCID stakeholders including parents of children with SCID, state laboratorians, and medical providers.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all attendees. To register, contact the SCID Compass Program Manager at the Immune Deficiency Foundation at scidcompass@primaryimmune.org or online here. To learn more about SCID Compass, visit www.scidcompass.org
